Welcome
Art Centre Salmela is one of the biggest and most famous art centres in Finland. It´s multicultural program includes art exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Also the beautiful milieu in the Finnish lake district is really worth seeing. The exhibitions concentrate on contemporary Finnish art of a high standard. Salmela's exhibitions are closed for the winter. We open again 8th of June 2013.
 
 
Exhibitions
Our exhibitors include artists that have already established themselves as the leading edge of the Finnish modern art as well as plenty of young talents. Art Centre Salmela’s exhibition spaces consist of Salmela’s main building, Domander exhibition grounds and the café-restaurant Kesäheinä.
 
 
 
Concerts and Events
Salmela’s concerts present celebrated Finnish performers. High level and versatile programme includes i.a. symphony orchestras as well as choir and lieder music. Concerts are held at the Mäntyharju church, located directly across from Salmela’s main building.
