Welcome
Art Centre Salmela is one of the biggest and most famous art centres in Finland. It´s multicultural program includes art exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Also the beautiful milieu in the Finnish lake district is really worth seeing. The year 2010 will be Art Centre Salmelas 21st year. The exhibitions concentrate on contemporary Finnish art of a high standard. The exhibitions feature famous Finnish artists as well as new talents.

Exhibitions
Our exhibitors include artists that have already established themselves as the leading edge of the Finnish modern art as well as plenty of young talents. Art Centre Salmela’s exhibition spaces consist of Salmela’s main building and 100 metres from it the Domander exhibition grounds comprising the old pharmacy, post office, servant’s quarters and outbuildings as well as the café-restaurant Kesäheinä.
 
 
 
Concerts and Events
Art Centre Salmela’s concerts present celebrated Finnish performers. High level and versatile programme includes i.a. symphony orchestras as well as choir and lieder music. Concerts are held at the 1850s built Mäntyharju church which is located directly across from Salmela’s main building.
